Comments: If you are a true bike rider then Bike Week in Daytona Beach, Florida represents one of the largest bike festivals in the world. During a 10 day period over 500,000 bikers come
from all parts of the country to take part in this annual event. The numbers for African American bikers who take part in this event has increased mulitple times each year and 2009 promises
to be the largest yet. Every Spring over 500,000 bikers travel to Daytona Beach, Florida for fun, food, festivities and more. If you love bikes and the people who ride them, you cannot miss this event.
The actual event occurs around the park area. .There are tons of parties and events that occur throughout the 5 day weekend. The hotels are jam packed full of revelers. The beaches are swamped, the streets
are packed and you can smell the BBQ grilling as many people spend their entire year waiting for this event.

SW 8th Street and SW 15th Avenue and features some intense competition as Miami’s domino giants compete for cash prizes. The big party is on Sunday March 11th and
is one of Miami’s “don’t miss” events. If you’ve never been to El Festival de la Ocho, you owe it to yourself to attend! The festival closes off 24 blocks of SW 8th Street

Comments: For 11 years now, nearly 500,000 people have been gathering in Washington, DC for a Caribbean parade and festivities. A vivid and colorful parade will kick off the festivities at 10 a.m. on June 24th, and the party will continue until 7 p.m. on June 25th. The parade is free to attend, but there is a small charge to get into the events at Banneker Field.
The parade includes 25 eclectic bands of masqueraders accompanied by the most amazing and infectious music. There will be vendors set up for your dining and snacking covenience and there will be booths set up for a little hands-on craft working for kids. Comments: Miami Carnival has been an Annual Event since 1984. Within two years of its inception, it had grown from a small neighborhood festival to an international event bringing live bands and calypsonians from the islands. Inquiries came from New York and other major cities.
The present Carnival, the Caribbean Mardi Gras, has become the foremost revenue-producing festival for South Florida and is the most popular Carnival in North America, with airline and hotel bookings being confirmed as early as November of each year for the following October’s Carnival.
